Have you never been to a Brothel before?
I can give you a little bit at a time so as not to scare you completely in regards to the whole goings on.
As you may not be aware the number of, girls allowed to work at brothels have changed from 5 working girls to 8 working girls. All this means is that this was changed and passed by Government last July without any asking from the girls, the ones who are actually effected by this change. The decision was made by Governmet, PLA and Brothel Owners, but the girls themselves who unfortunetly had no say in the matter at all. This is and has been a great contrubting factor to the decline of our income in the last year.
Most of the working girls who live and work in Queensland are not happy with this change at all and wish it to go back to the way it was originally. Brothel owners and those in the PLA thought it would allow girls to have rest periods throught the shifts when it was needed, instead it has made some of us work longer hours just to cover the same amount of money.
To the horror of the public most working girls on an eight hour shift are not even making $30 p/hr! This is a direct result of this change. I am getting out of the industry this year due to this and many other changes that maybe happening to our industry soon.

Life goes by very fast these days and every cent does count but these three things are still worth spending on,
good shoes, underwear, and surprises for the family. Things not worth sending money on is money thats has already been lost, like taking someone to court to get it back. A bigger person lets go and moves on with life instead of try to fight to get it back.

As most of you know our first bottle was the 125ml, which has been a best seller by the Service Provider girls and male clients alike. Now girls have been asking for a bigger bottle for everyday work use, so the 250ml is now availble as from this week! We have two brothels in Queensland who are wanting us to provide jigjig oil in the rooms for massage while keeping it warm in bottle warmers at a constant temperture. Now with brothels asking for a larger 500ml bottle, we have done this too!
In the next two weeks all jigjigoil products will be able to be purchased on line in pack sizes for your convieniance!

The level of physical intimacy between sex workers and their clientele far exceeds that of any other occupation, putting sex workers at a far greater risk of contracting STIs and other communicable diseases. This fact sheet provides tips on how to maintain your physical wellbeing, and includes topics such as keeping your immune system strong, looking after your skin, protecting your oral health, visiting your GP and looking after yourself. Be responsible for your health Apart from maintaining regular sexual health checks, sex workers must be responsible for their own overall physical health. Knowing when not to work is crucial for sex workers and could mean the difference between life and death. Keep your immune system strong Our immune system helps our bodies fight off infection caused by bacteria we come into contact with. It is very important for sex workers to keep this mighty defence mechanism at optimum levels. To keep your immune system strong: • • • Look after your skin Many sex workers have constant direct skin contact with their clientele. This can (and usually does) involve a lot of friction which can cause microscopic breaks in the skin’s outer layer. These skin breaks enable the possible transmission of various infections. It is not uncommon for many sex workers to develop a hygiene obsession, involving excessive rubbing and scrubbing with often harsh soaps. This can lead to many unwanted, unfavourable skin conditions which make working difficult and unpleasant. Due to these issues, it is highly recommended that sex workers follow "best practice" when it comes to skin care. Use a gentle moisturising cleanser rich in vegetable oils, and be sure to moisturise after every shower/bath. Sorbolene or Aqueous creams are suitable and affordable moisturisers, as is Aloe Vera, which works to form a protective layer on the skin. After showering and while the body is slightly wet, apply moisturiser in a light, gentle polishing manner all over the body, including the face. This should take less than a minute. Not only Drinking lots of fresh water will also help maintain healthy, glowing skin. Protect your oral health As many infections can be passed on through bleeding gums or cuts/sores in the mouth, healthy gums can be as crucial as condoms for sex workers. To protect your oral health: • • • Visit your GP It is strongly recommended that sex workers find a GP who they can be honest with. Your doctor should know you are working in the sex industry, particularly if you live in a remote area and do not have access to a sexual health clinic. Not only do sex workers require more thorough and regular STI testing, this will also help your GP determine the most suitable treatment. Your GP will be familiar with common infections that can be easily transmitted by close contact and kissing (eg. glandular fever, ringworm, tinea and other viral illnesses such as the flu). You may like to consider flu vaccinations to keep your immune system strong. Your GP can also be a valuable referral source to many other specialist services. Look after yourself • Ensure you lead a balanced lifestyle - work, rest, play. • • • • • •

Hi Girls,
Concerning the closure of SQWISI offices throught the state, Queensland Health recently advised that they have established an interim project for the provision of information to sex workers and service providers whilst a review of sex worker HIV, hepatitis C and sexually transmissible infection (STI) education and prevention needs is undertaken and acted on.
On 26 June 2007, "WISI INfo" (Workers in Sex Industry Information) commenced operation with the primary aim of providing a part time state wide information service related to reducing the risk to sex workers and the general community of HIV, hepatitis C and STI's.
Queensland Health have committed to keep the SQWISI website live so that, amongst other things, brothel licence and manager applicaticants may undertake the relvent computer based training modules. While no certificate will be issued to evidence that on-line training has been undertaken, the Prostitution Licening Authority (PLA) continue to require applicants to undertake the training and keep a record of the date the training was completed and the reference number. These details will be required to be supplied to the PLA once your application for any management position has been loged.
